Your obligations as a verified public figure on BisaFund — and the protections in place for you.
Read carefully — this applies to you.
By using your celebrity status on BisaFund, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these rules. Breaking them can result in suspension, permanent removal from the platform, and revocation of your verified status. BisaFund reserves the right to revoke celebrity status at its sole discretion.
Your Obligations
Create only legitimate causes
Every campaign you create must be for a genuine, verifiable cause that benefits others. Fundraising for fictitious needs, personal enrichment, or misleading purposes is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate suspension.
Funds must reach the stated beneficiary
All withdrawn funds must be used exactly as described in your campaign. Diverting donor money for any other purpose is fraud and will result in permanent revocation and legal action.
Provide accurate information
Your legal name, identity documents, payout details, and campaign stories must be truthful and match. Providing false information at any stage — including KYC — is grounds for immediate revocation.
Be accountable for your team
If you add team members to manage campaigns, you remain fully responsible for their actions. Choose your team carefully and review their access regularly.
Maintain donor transparency
Post regular updates on how funds are used. Failing to communicate with donors after receiving funds may trigger admin review of your profile.
No misuse of verified status
Your verified badge is a mark of trust. You must not use it to endorse fraudulent campaigns, mislead donors, or lend credibility to causes you have not personally vetted.
Consequences of Violations
Suspension
Minor or first-time violations may result in a temporary suspension. Your profile is hidden from the public and you cannot create new campaigns until the issue is resolved.
Revocation of celebrity status
Serious or repeated violations result in permanent revocation of your verified celebrity status. Your badge is removed, your profile is taken down, and you cannot reapply.
BisaFund's right to revoke
BisaFund reserves the right to suspend, revoke, or remove any celebrity profile at its sole discretion — with or without prior notice — if we determine that the profile poses a risk to donors, the platform, or the public. This includes cases involving fraud, legal violations, reputational harm, or breach of these terms.
Legal consequences
You bear sole legal responsibility for your actions on this platform. If your campaign or conduct violates the laws of Ghana — including fraud, money laundering, tax evasion, or misrepresentation — you are personally liable. BisaFund will cooperate fully with law enforcement and regulatory authorities in any investigation.
Security & Safety Protections in Place
BisaFund has built multiple layers of security to protect you, your donors, and the platform. Here's what's working behind the scenes:
Biometric KYC verification
All celebrities must complete biometric verification (selfie + government ID) through Smile ID before any withdrawal. This ensures only the verified identity can access funds.
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
Platform-wide TOTP-based 2FA protects your account from takeover. Admin dashboards require additional PIN + TOTP verification for sensitive operations.
Server-side payout validation
Every withdrawal is validated on the server: your KYC status, payout phone OTP verification, and name-match are all checked before funds can move. Client-side checks are never trusted alone.
Fraud detection & monitoring
Automated fraud detection monitors donation patterns, IP diversity, coordinated behavior, and sanctions screening. Suspicious activity is flagged for admin review and can trigger payout holds.
Encrypted personal data
Your email, phone, legal name, and ID numbers are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) at rest. Payout details are stored encrypted and only decrypted for admin verification during withdrawals.
Campaign review process
Every campaign — even from verified celebrities — goes through a review process before going live. Medical and emergency campaigns receive priority. Overfunded campaigns (200%+) are flagged for additional review.
Audit logging & IP tracking
All sensitive actions (logins, donations, withdrawals, admin actions) are logged with IP addresses for fraud detection and dispute resolution. Logs are retained for 90 days then purged per our data minimization policy.
Governing Policies
These rules supplement — and do not replace — our formal policies. Review them in full:
